Bosnian coal miners announce major strike

Thousands of coal miners from Bosnia’s Federation entity are to hold a major strike on October 2 and protest against their poor living and working conditions in Sarajevo…Jakub Ljubovic, president of the Independent Union of Coal Miners in Bosnia and Herzegovina, told media that…the quality of working conditions is reflected in the fact that in these mines the coal is still being excavated in the same way it was done “100 years ago.”
