EDF response about the attack on Oaxaca wind farm opponent

...EDF Group is aware that a serious incident happened on Thursday, February 10th, involving Mr. Edgar Martín Regalado, a member of the Collective in Defense of Human Rights and Communal Property of Unión Hidalgo. We understand that the authorities have already started the investigations regarding this situation.

EDF Group strongly condemns all acts of violence and intimidation against anyone. Furthermore, we want to express our concern about the rise of violence in the region. EDF Group is committed to ensuring that international and domestic Human rights standards are respected in all the projects and operations it takes part in. All members of the communities related to EDF Group activities have the right to speak out freely during the consultation process without any pressure whatsoever.
