Maersk's response

...Thank you for the opportunity to respond to the allegations of police actions against demonstrators earlier this year.

We fully respect the democratic right to peacefully protest and the important role the civil society plays in democracy, and we of course support a society where everyone can debate and disagree. The demonstrations in front of Maersk’s headquarters in February 2025 unfortunately were an attempt to illegally enter the premises and our headquarters’ building. Maersk deferred to the Danish police on handling the situation: The police were present throughout the event and tried to find a peaceful solution. When this was not possible, they moved the protesters and cleared the area. For questions on their approach, please direct them to the Danish law enforcement authorities.
