Microchip Technology response

...Microchip Technology Inc. does not sell products into countries where our technology is prohibited from sale such as Iran, Russia, Belarus, or sanctioned regions in the Ukraine.

We take our responsibility as a good corporate citizen seriously. Microchip complies with applicable laws, including export controls and trade sanctions. We take care to maintain supply chain integrity by various methods including screening customers against restricted party lists. We also partner with government authorities and law enforcement organizations, as necessary.

Microchip is a leading provider of smart, connected, and secure embedded control solutions with more than 120,000 customers across the industrial, automotive, consumer, aerospace and defense, communications, and computing markets. Our products have many possible customer applications. Distributors also sell our products into the marketplace. As a result, without access to a specific device, we are unable to advise whether it is a Microchip product or counterfeit product, and if it is a Microchip product, how it ended up in a particular application.
