Myanmar: Garment workers pressured to meet targets & denied leave; incl. co. non-response
In August 2024, it was reported that workers at S.H United are facing a series of violations, including denial of legal benefits incl. paid leave, wage reductions if workers miss a day of work, pressure for workers not to take sick leave, excessive production targets and verbal abuse if workers don’t meet the target, workers unable to drink water due to excessive work load, day labourers hired and fired if orders are low, and workers who were formerly union members at the factory (before it was closed and renamed) denied employment and publicly humiliated.
In September 2024, Business & Human Rights Resource Centre invited Colin's respond. It did not.
