Myanmar: Workers at Kfine Internional Garment factory reportedly face wage cuts if they suffer from health problems incl. fainting or illness; incl. co. responses

In June 2023, it was reported that workers at Kfine International Garment (Myanmar) were facing a series of violations, including mandatory overtime until 10:30pm - incl. the weekend - causing health issues. Workers also reported no access to food at the factory, excessive production targets, workers' wages being cut if they suffer from health problems incl. fainting or illness, low wages, and limited access to ferries for workers to return home from shifts. Workers stated that when they complained to the relevant labour department, during the inspection they were unable to answer questions truthfully, as management was nearby.

In October 2023, Business & Human Rights Resource Centre invited BESTSELLER and LPP S.A. (for its Reserved brand) to respond. The responses can be found below.
