OpenAI did not respond to concerns about ChatGPT's potential impact on democratic processes

On 11 March 2023, the Business & Human Rights Resource Centre invited OpenAI to respond to concerns raised by Nathan E. Sanders, a data scientist affiliated with the Berkman Klein Center at Harvard University, and Bruce Schneier, a security technologist and lecturer at Harvard Kennedy School, who argue that generative artificial intelligence tools, namely ChatGPT, could be used to manipulate democratic processes. OpenAI is the creator of ChatGPT. The company did not respond.
