A number of football associations have recently spoken out on the campaign of a fund to remedy migrant workers which have been pushed forward by Amnesty International.

The last tournament's winners, the French Football Federation (FFF), have however been criticised by the NGO for remaining silent on the issue and using it as a publicity opportunity. In return, the FFF said this campaign is a “stigmatisation“, and that a lot of progress has been made by Qatar ahead of the World Cup.
