On 30 April 2025, a fatal accident occurred at the hazardous production facility “Sheregesh Mine (underground mining method),” operated by JSC EVRAZ ZSMK in the Kemerovo Region.
On 30 April 2025, while technical work was being carried out to service a mass blast at the Sheregesh mine, employees of the Federal State Unitary Enterprise VGSCh heard unusual sounds caused by the movement of clay slurry (a mixture of water and clay) along a mine working.
