Siemens re EU parliament call to withdraw sponsorship from Expo Dubai 2020

Siemens acts as the infrastructure digitalization partner at Expo 2020 Dubai. We work across all continents to enhance urban infrastructure by making it more sustainable and energy efficient, reducing CO2 emissions. Our focus is to improve the way all people live and interact in cities and towns. That’s what we are bringing to the Expo and many other projects globally. We strongly believe that a functioning infrastructure has the potential to improve social and economic conditions as well as people's quality of life in the long term.

As a company operating in nearly 200 countries, we are strongly committed to the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights as the global standard for preventing and addressing potential adverse human rights impacts. This is firmly anchored in our Business Conduct Guidelines. They set forth the fundamental principles and rules governing the way we act within our company and in relation to our business partners and the general public. In particular, it should be stressed that we condemn all forms of violence and human rights violations. This applies to our businesses worldwide.
