Now more than ever, advocates in NGOs and business need the information we provide to continue to put human rights at the centre of business. We are a global non-profit with a strong connection to local activists and human rights defenders. We bring their voices to you, so that we may all act together for a better world. We rely on donations of all sizes from people just like you, and take no money from companies so that we can be fair and objective. Please support the Resource Centre today.

Your donation will help us to:

  • Encourage companies worldwide to respect human rights;
  • Increase transparency & accountability – of companies who produce our clothes, cars, phones, and the software and apps we all use each day;
  • Draw global attention to under-reported cases – from the theft of indigenous people’s lands, to surveillance equipment being sold by IT firms to Governments and used against their opponents;
  • Keep this unique website and its resources free and accessible for everyone, especially those that need it most: communities and individuals facing abuse.

The Resource Centre is a tax-exempt non-profit organisation under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, so your donation is deductible from your US income taxes to the extent allowed by law. Our IRS Employer Identification Number is 20-0829209.

Planned Giving

Making a will is one of the simplest and most powerful ways to extend your love and generosity for your family and friends, and to make a positive impact. By leaving a gift to the Resource Centre in your will, you are building a lasting legacy to support our work now and for years to come. Gifts of any size are greatly appreciated.

If you choose to leave the Resource Centre a gift in your will, please contact Patty Surak, who will be happy to support you.

To maintain our independence the Business & Human Rights Resource Centre will avoid any conflict of interest or reputation risk by not accepting donations directly from companies. Our primary sources of income come from independent foundations, governments and individual donors. The Resource Centre’s senior management team will review potential donations from corporate foundations, senior executives at major corporations, and pro-bono legal support on a case-by-case basis where the risk of conflict of interest and reputation risk is judged to be low.

No donation is too small - thank you!

The Business & Human Rights Resource Centre is a Registered Charity in England & Wales (no. 1096664).
