All Rise is a non-profit law firm for climate and environmental justice, representing community members opposed to the expansion of Tendele's KwaZulu-Natal coal mine in South Africa. On 17 May 2022, DMS Attorneys released a joint statement on behalf of the Association of Mineworkers and Construction Union (AMCU), the National Union of Mineworkers (NUM), the Mpukunyoni Traditional Council, and Mpukunyoni Community Mining Forum, attacking All Rise and accusing it of "gross human rights violation” for their work in support of local communities. All Rise and other 38 CSOs condemned these comments as "hugely irresponsible".
