Twitter did not respond to allegations of facilitating slave markets & human trafficking in MENA

On 14 April 2023, the Business & Human Rights Resource Centre invited Twitter to respond to allegations made in the "Platforming human trafficking: tweeting human auctions in the Middle East" report by the Center for International Policy. The report claims that auctions of migrant workers in the Middle East are systematically advertised on Twitter and that social media companies have undermined US government efforts to combat human trafficking by facilitating such auctions. Twitter did not respond.
