The activist, Ben Pennings, from the Galilee Blockade group in Australia which works on protecting the Galilee basin from coal and gas extraction is being sued by the mining company Adani for conspiracy, intimidation, and breach of confidence since August 2020. Adani alleges Pennings “orchestrated a sustained campaign” against the Carmichael coal project, in which he solicited confidential information about the construction process and used it to harass contractors.
