Environmentalist Edgar Martín Regalado was attacked by members of the municipal police of Unión Hidalgo and a group of people during a blockade he led to demand that the company GFS stop dumping rubble in front of his house.

Edgar filed an amparo lawsuit against the Interoceanic Corridor for the use of stone material extracted in the El Barrancon area by GFS, a supplier of the Ministry of the Navy. Since then, on 20 different occasions, dump trucks from the Navy supplier dump rubbish and debris in front of his house.
