Ferrotec response
First and foremost, Ferrotec states its fundamental company policy of not engaging into any activity that would violate any foreign exchange or foreign export laws or the like in order to preserve international peace and security. In that context, Ferrotec has its policy not to engage in transactions that could have the potential to be used for military purposes.
Based on its best knowledge, Ferrotec's Russian subsidiary imported antimony in Russia to manufacture Thermo-electric Modules products (i.e., Peltier elements). This antimony was solely used for our own production and was never sold to other companies. In addition, as of today, Ferrotec does not import antimony in Russia from China.
Regarding the sales of silicon wafers, Ferrotec will refrain from disclosing the details of transactions with customers to fulfill our obligation to maintain customer-related confidential information as confidential. Ferrotec notes again that Ferrotec conducts business activities in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations as well internal policies.
