IKEA Korea's response to allegation on worsening working conditions

IKEA Korea prioritizes the health and well-being of all co-workers, focusing on sustainable benefits that apply to everyone rather than only some employees. Throughout the process, we engaged sincerely and constructively with the union to seek balanced solutions for a wide range of co-workers.

To facilitate a smooth and timely conclusion, we accepted several requests, including support for flu vaccination costs and guaranteeing average wages for full-time union representatives. Through responsible and continuous dialogue, IKEA Korea and the IKEA Korea Branch of the Mart Industry Labor Union under the Korean Federation of Service Workers successfully concluded the 2025 wage and collective bargaining agreement on July 17, 2025.

At IKEA Korea, we remain committed to fostering a healthy and constructive labour-management relationship. We will continue to listen to more co-worker voices, co-create meaningful experiences for both co-workers and customers in an omnichannel environment, and work toward sustainable benefits that everyone can be part of.
