Portugal: Over 200+ layoffs at Gabor factory due to weakening demand; incl. co. response

In July 2024, it was reported that 222 workers at Gabor's production facility in Silveiros, Portugal, would be laid off in a second wave of layoffs, after the company had previously laid off 67 workers. The layoffs are reportedly due to weakened orders and the overall economic situation.

In July 2025, Business & Human Rights Resource Centre invited Gabor to respond. The response can be found below.
