In this context, it is important to note that for Mexico, the development of the Isthmus of Tehuantepec region—with a focus on infrastructure, logistics, industrial production, and interoceanic trade—constitutes a fundamental right, based on respect for indigenous peoples, their traditions, their right to self-determination, and the preservation of their territories...
