John McCririck was sacked as Channel 4’s racing pundit because of his “arrogant and confrontational” personality not because he was too old, an employment tribunal has ruled…Mr McCririck had been seeking £3m in damages claiming age discrimination from his employers, TV production company IMG Media Limited. He described the ruling of the Central London Employment Tribunal as a “historic setback” for all workers aged 30-70…An IMG spokesman said: “IMG is pleased that the tribunal's unanimous decision has recognised that age discrimination played no part in the decision not to include John McCririck in the Channel 4 Racing team from 2013.”…
