...According to the affidavit, Oxygen Forensics held itself out to the U.S. government as being an independent, U.S.-based company. In fact, Davydov and four other Russian nationals owned and controlled the company through a holding company based in Cyprus...

If convicted, each defendant would face a statutory maximum sentence of 20 years in federal prison...

According to the Organized Crime and Corruption Reporting Project: "OCCRP sent requests for comment to Oxygen Forensics, including its sales and support contacts, and to MKO Systems, asking that the request be forwarded to Davydov and his legal representatives. OCCRP also contacted the HM Courts and Tribunals Service press office and U.S. Justice Department spokesperson Ciaran McEvoy seeking contact information for the defendants' lawyers. At the time of publication, no responses had been received."
