[DOC] [Fort-S response regarding The St. Petersburg Times article: “Okhta conflict”]

[Original company response in Russian; title translation, and following summary of the response's key points, provided by Business & Human Rights Resource Centre] On 23 October 2009, an unauthorised protest was held near the construction site of the Okhta Centre. A few protesters attempted to get into the construction site. These individuals climbed the scaffolding and started throwing burning torches on cars parked near the construction site, guards and people walking down the street. There was a real threat of setting fire to the cars and injuring people on the street. Since Fort-S is responsible for ensuring people's safety at the construction site, the firm’s guards stopped the offenders’ unlawful actions. No claims were filed against Fort-S after the investigation of the accident conducted by police.
