Mitsubishi Corporation's response

Mitsubishi Corporation (MC) has contributed to the development of Myanmar for many years by conducting business in a wide range of fields.

MC believes that respect for human rights is fundamental to doing business globally, and stipulates its respect for human rights in its Code of Conduct for executives and employees, Corporate Standards of Conduct, and Social Charter. MC also supports international norms such as the International Bill of Human Rights (Universal Declaration of Human Rights, International Covenants on Human Rights), the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights, the core labor standards of the International Labour Organization, and the Voluntary Principles on Security and Human Rights.

For more information, please see the Human Rights section of ESG Data Book 2019. We also support the statement of the Japan Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Myanmar.
