Rosprirodnadzor completes scheduled on-site inspection of JSC Sevuralboksitruda, 7 April 2025

Inspectors from the Ural Interregional Department of Rosprirodnadzor, together with specialists from the Federal State Budgetary Institution “TsLATI for the Ural Federal District,” have completed a scheduled on-site inspection of JSC Sevuralboksitruda (JSC SUBR).

As a result of the inspection, 17 violations of mandatory environmental requirements were identified, including:

In the field of atmospheric air protection:
– emissions of pollutants at a facility with a negative environmental impact without the required permits for emissions of harmful (polluting) substances into the atmospheric air.

In the field of use and protection of water bodies:
– discharge of wastewater into the Vagan River in excess of the permissible wastewater volume;
– use of water bodies without documents authorizing the discharge of pollutants as part of the enterprise’s wastewater outfalls;
– discharge of pollutants in wastewater into the Saraynaya, Vagan, Kallya (Bolshaya Kallya), and Kedrovaya (Kedrovy Stream) rivers in excess of established standards.

In the field of production and consumption waste management:
– submission of incorrect information on the characteristics of a waste disposal facility containing distorted data on the condition of the facility;
– storage (accumulation) of production and consumption waste in unauthorized locations, without properly equipped sites, as well as littering of the production area with such waste;
– carrying out production activities in excess of the approved waste generation limits, and other violations.

Following the inspection, the enterprise was issued an order to eliminate the identified violations. Remediation of the violations is under the supervision of the Department.

In addition, the legal entity and responsible officials of the enterprise will be held administratively liable.
