Uzbekistan: Two employees injured as a result of explosion at the chemical plant near Tashkent, 04 October 2022

The press service of the regional administration reported that fire that broke out at 8:30 am on October 4 in the ammonia production unit-1 at the 'Maxam Chirchiq' plant in the Chirchik town of Tashkent region, was fully extinguished.

According to the Ministry of Emergency Situations, as a result of fire and the subsequent explosion, two employees of the plant were slightly injured. They are being treated at the Chirchik town hospital...

'Maxam Chirchiq' is a major producer of mineral fertilizers and other chemical products in Uzbekistan.
