The company is involved in nickel mining activities and has previously collaborated with PT Suria Lintas Gemilang. Rimau New World is also listed within a shareholding structure that includes Chinese investors in the nickel sector.
PT Rimau New World is a joint venture owned by PT New World Nikel and PT Rimau Multi Investama. As of 2023, Huayou holds a 70% stake in PT Indonesia Pomalaa Industry Park (IPIP) through its subsidiary Huaxing Nickel, while the remaining 30% is controlled by PT Rimau New World.
