Investors with 21 million shares of ALLTEL Corporation stock, worth more than one billion dollars, voted to support a shareholder resolution at the company’s annual meeting yesterday requesting that ALLTEL amend its non-discrimination policy to explicitly bar discrimination based on sexual orientation.
