Campaigners against Israel's bombardment of Gaza blockade entrance to UK site of Israel-based arms company Elbit Systems

"Live: Palestine Action protesters blockade entrance to Bristol defence firm"

Campaigners against Israel's military action in Palestine have set up a blockade of the entrance to a company in Bristol ... Members of a group called Palestine Action have 'locked-on' across the private road entrance to a firm called Elbit Systems, based on the Aztec West complex in Patchway.

... campaigners say they are taking the action to try to disrupt Elbit Systems' operations. The company describes itself as a 'defence, technology and aerospace company working on a range of technologies for both military and civilian applications', and several of its UK sites have been targeted by protesters.

According to Companies House, Elbit Systems UK is part of Israel-based company Elbit Systems Ltd. A spokesperson for the UK firm said in response to the protests: "Our important work providing advanced technology and critical support for the British armed forces has continued uninterrupted.

"Elbit Systems UK is working with the police and the relevant authorities to prosecute any person or group threatening the safety of our staff." Again referring to the national picture, the spokesperson also said they 'condemn those inciting and carrying out illegal and violent attacks on sites and individuals across the United Kingdom'.
