Minor migrant labourer rescued from UP brick kiln [India]

Kailas Nayak of Angulpadachari village in Jharbandh block of Bargarh district had migrated with his father Babulal Nayak and his brothers and sister to work in the brick kiln in Uttar Pradesh through a local Sardar (labour contractor)…However on reaching there, the brick kiln owner did not provide him the promised wage…Babulal lodged a complaint with the local police in UP, following which four members of his family, he, his wife, a son and daughter, were freed from the brick kiln owner’s clutch. However, Kailas was held back being not allowed to go with his parents…With cooperation from the UP police and local sub-divisional officials of UP, Kailas was rescued.
