Indigenous organizations insist that authorities should meet their duty to protect communities from impacts caused by the oil industry, including Chinese companies.  Indigenous groups wrote a letter to the Chinese Embassy in Peru and another one to the Chief of the Latin American and the Caribbean Department of the Chinese Foreign Office.
