Miner dies in the "Grot" mine near Vranje - second accident in 6 months, 3 March 2025

While cleaning a channel used for ore loading at the Grot mine near Vranje, a 62-year-old miner's assistant died...according to the Basic Public Prosecutor's Office in Vranje. This is the second fatality at this mine in the last 6 months.

The Prosecutor's Office says that the accident was reported by the director of the mine located in the village of Kriva Feja near Vranje...

They say that the investigation was conducted by the republican mining inspector, as well as the Vranje police...
