Taiwan: Kuai Kuai workers secure relocation compensation deal after strike
Workers at Kuai Kuai, a Taiwanese snack maker, ended a five-day strike after reaching a deal with management on compensation for the company's planned relocation.
The deal includes statutory severance pay and additional compensation ranging from four to eight months' full wages, depending on the resignation date and seniority of union members.
The union alleged that migrant workers were pressured by their labour broker to cross the picket line, but they did not do so after communicating with the union. The union will continue to monitor migrant workers' rights at Kuai Kuai.
The journalists contacted Kuai Kuai for comment.
