Australia: Major companies mandate COVID-19 jabs for employees; raises human rights questions

Several Australian companies are considering mandatory COVID-19 vaccinations for employees. Airline company Qantas’ decision to mandate COVID vaccines among staff gained the Prime Minister's approval as the “right model” for other businesses. In New South Wales, however, a case is lodged in the highest court to question the legality of vaccine compulsion. Lawyers argue that the policy "strips citizens of their basic human rights, including their right to work, their right to bodily integrity and their right to informed consent to medical treatment without coercion."
