India: Tea worker attacked by leopard in West Bengal

In March 2023, it was reported that a tea worker had been attacked by a leopard while working at Garganda Tea Estate and that leopards had also attacked livestock on the estate previously. The Business and Human Rights Resource Centre asked Unilever, a buyer from the estate according to its publicly disclosed supplier list, and Lipton (formerly ekaterra) which took over most of Unilever's tea business in 2022, for a response. Lipton stated that it does not source from the estate. Full responses are included below.
