Kyrgyzstan: Experts concerned about environmental damage of building CKU railway through fragile mountain regions, incl. bank's response

China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan railway is planned to act as an alternative route for transporting goods between China and countries to the west of Central Asia. However, experts warn about huge environmental consequences of building roads, tunnels, bridges etc. On Kyrgyzstan's government page it stated that the government is in talks with Asian Development Bank for possible funding of the project.
