In November 2025, the collective "Aquí No" faced a new phase of harassment amidst the rapid construction of the ammonia plant by Gas and Petroquímica de Occidente (GPO), a subsidiary of Proman AG, in Topolobampo, Mexico. The collective, which defends the environmental and territorial rights of the Yoreme people and fishing communities has been subjected to increasing attacks and intimidation tactics. These include threats, surveillance, campaigns of defamation, physical assaults, illegal searches, and an overall climate of repression as the construction progresses.

The Business and Human Rights Centre invited GPO and Proman AG to respond to allegations; they did not.
