[resolution proposed for shareholders' meeting of Bombardier, 30 May 2006] Whereas: Year round in 2005, Bombardier was in the middle of a controversy because its participation in a railway project between China and Tibet (Qinghai-Tibet), a controversy which is focused on the negative impacts that this train could have on the human rights of Tibetans... Transnational companies which have activities in countries governed by an oppressive regime...are facing a risk for their corporate image and stock value... At this time, Bombardier does not disclose its human rights policy which allows it to manage and avoid...these risks... It is resolved that: The shareholders are asking the Board of Directors to develop and adopt a human rights policy and to draft an independent report on the progress accomplished on this subject before November 2006.
