On 25 July 2025, a claimant filed a lawsuit against Pivnichnyy Mining and Processing Plant (PrJSC) seeking UAH 302,800 in moral damages due to occupational diseases caused by prolonged work as a bulldozer operator in hazardous conditions at a quarry and waste dumps. The claimant was diagnosed with pneumoconiosis, along with multiple related conditions including stage II hypertension, diabetes, aseptic necrosis of the right femoral head, peripheral angiodystonia, and chronic radiculopathy with pronounced musculoskeletal and pain syndromes, all linked to long-term exposure to harmful industrial factors.

Medical assessments initially established a third-degree disability and 20% loss of professional capacity, later increased to 50% on a permanent basis. The court found that the illnesses were caused by unsafe working conditions attributable to the employer and partially satisfied the claim, awarding UAH 250,000 in moral damages and UAH 2,500 in court fees.
