Zambia: Workers at Munali nickel mine demand payment of outstanding salaries

Over 500 workers at Munali Nickel Mine held a peaceful protest, demanding payment of their outstanding salaries and remittances of statutory contributions. In July 2025, workers were sent on indefinite leave and were promised continued monthly payments, but workers were not paid three months’ salaries, despite pay slips that indicate statutory deductions.

Business and Human Rights Centre invited Mabiza Resources to respond, but it did not.
