Greenpeace in praise of brands
Greenpeace said that Unilever, Nokia, Puma, Adidas and Chicco, the toy manufacturer, had responded to discussions by agreeing to phase out toxic chemicals in all or some of their products. In return, they will be rated on Greenpeace's products database. It has already established cooperation with clothing retailers such as H&M and Marks & Spencer, and furniture-maker Ikea in ridding their products of hazardous chemicals.
