Takko's response to allegations of abuses in Myanmar garment factories - October 2024 Update

Currently, we have no direct business relationship with the factories you mentioned and have not placed any orders with these factories in the past.

However, we do have active business partnerships with nine factories in Myanmar that produce clothing for Takko Fashion. Due to our Codes of Conduct signed by our business partners and suppliers, they are not allowed to pass on orders without our consent and prior Human Rights Due Diligence that needs to be undertaken with every new factory.

Our CSR team in Germany as well as local team in Yangon are in close contact with the management of the factories that produce clothes for us. Thus, we have directly contacted them on the issues raised. All of our suppliers have confirmed that we do not work with any of the factories mentioned or have worked with them in the past.

Also, we have already implemented stricter Human Rights Due Diligence measures to closely monitor working conditions at our partners’ production facilities in Myanmar...
