H&M's response to BHRRC Gender-based violence & Harassment report six-month update via AFWA
H&M has been engaging with AFWA in a process that aims to create frameworks for genuine accountability in their supply chain. In this process, H&M has shown its commitment to work together to address the structural conditions that lead to GBVH. In doing so, H&M has demonstrated that it recognized the critical role of enabling collaboration between all stakeholders to reduce risks of GBVH, as well as freedom of association violations, that contribute to GBVH in the garment industry. One key example of this is their signing of the historic Dindigul Agreement to Eliminate Gender-Based Violence and Harassment signed with AFWA, Tamil Nadu Textile and Common Labour Union (TTCU), and Global Labor Justice- International Labor Rights Forum (GLJ-ILRF).
