North Macedonia: RKM and Pucko Petrol under investigation for rigging tenders & money laundering in sales of low-quality fuel oil; incl. cos. non-responses

North Macedonian prosecution is invastigating rigging tenders and money laundering in the sale of fuel oil for the Negotino Thermal Power Plant.

According to the investigation, RKM and Pucko Petrol were involved in suspicious practices related to the purchase of fuel oil. The Customs Administration discovered that the companies attempted to import energy that had been declared as fuel oil, but the chemical properties did not match the required quality.

Business & Human Rights Resource Centre invited RKM and Pucko Petrol to respond. The companies did not.
