AU govt. proposes law that will require large businesses to report on their actions to address modern slavery

The Australian Government has announced its intention to introduce legislation that will require large businesses to report annually on actions taken to address modern slavery, including in their supply chains. A central repository for modern slavery statements will also be introduced. The government will conduct a public consultation which, together the federal inquiry process, will help to determine the final content of the proposed legislation.
