DanWatch report on social & environmental impacts of Cerrejón coal mine in Colombia

In May 2010 DanWatch issued a report on the alleged negative social & environmental impacts of the Cerrejon coal mine in northern Colombia, which supplies coal to DONG Energy and Vattenfall: The Curse of Coal...DONG Energy provided a response to the Danish Ministry of Finance...The Business & Human Rights Resource Centre invited the other companies mentioned in the report to respond [Responses from Cerrejon Coal & CMC [both are joint ventures of Anglo American, BHP Billiton, Xstrata] and Vattenfall]...On 22 July, we received a "rectification" letter from Armando Pérez Araújo, community lawyer in the Tabaco case.
