[DOC] Shell E&P Ireland Limited response re Corrib gas dispute

إظهار جميع الإشارات
Shell E&P Ireland Limited (SEPIL) notes the publication of the Irish Human Rights Centre report entitled Business and Human Rights in Ireland…On the subject of security management, SEPIL’s operations are conducted in compliance with Irish legal requirements…In addition, SEPIL also conforms to the Shell Group’s internal standards, which include the Voluntary Principles on Security and Human Rights (VPSHR). The VPSHR are incorporated into SEPIL’s contracts with its private security provider and implementation is subject to a systematic training, compliance and assurance process…SEPIL and our contractors have complied with the law at all times in respect of human rights. Regrettably, a small minority of protesters, many from outside the local area, have repeatedly and deliberately engaged in activities that break the law and threaten the safety of our employees, contractors and third parties. As a result of these behaviours, appropriate levels of security continues to be required in order to ensure a safe working environment and an ability to carry out our lawful work.
