India: Villagers protest about impacts on livelihoods as threats of deforestation, pollution & water access from proposed Saudi-backed petrochemical refinery increase; co. did not respond

Thousands of villagers are protesting a proposed multi-billion petrochemical refinery in Ratnagiri (Maharashtra) over ecological concerns. The project is a joint venture of Saudi Aramco, Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC), Indian Oil Corporation Limited, Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited, and Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited.

BHRRC invited all companies to respond, they did not.
