TSS and TOM are solid materials which suspense under water. Those could be mud, sand, domestic waste or industrial which threatens coral reef ecosystem.

The research revealed degradation on the water quality, allegedly causes by nickel mining activities in Pakal island. The island, which now occupied by nickel mining, sustained extreme sedimentation. This could affect the coral reef ecosystem around the island.
