James Finlay told to keep hospital running [Kenya]

The Industrial court...has stopped the closure of James Finlay Central Hospital in Kericho. Some 59 hospital workers allied to the Kenya plantation agricultural workers union moved to court...to stop plans to close the hospital. Early this year James Finlay told the workers of a plan to close the hospital saying it is under-utilised by the company’s staff...Justice Byram Ongaya said a comprehensive legal framework should be put in place to address issues that emerge when private hospitals cease operations.
