Peruvian indigenous leaders file OECD complaint against 'Dutch' oil company alleging environmental pollution

On 9 March 2020, four indigenous federations from Peru, together with four NGOs, notified the Dutch National Contact Point (NCP) of a specific instance regarding an alleged violation of the OECD Guidelines for Multinational Enterprises by Amsterdam-based oil company Pluspetrol Resources Corporation.

In April 2021, the NCP declared the submission admissible (see Initial Assessment including company comment) and offered to facilitate a dialogue between the parties, which Pluspetrol declined.

On 3 September 2025, the NCP published its Final Statement regarding the complaint.
